About Uptown
Found upriver from the Garden District, the area known as Uptown in New Orleans stretches to Broadway Street. It's a residential community with many homes, smaller restaurants and local shops for residents to enjoy.
The location is very desirable and homes found throughout the Uptown area tend to sell very fast. It's a beautiful neighborhood with a large amount of green space and a convenient location. Residents find it easy to get to the major areas of New Orleans from Uptown, while enjoying what's offered right within the community.

Real Estate in Uptown

Another area with plenty to offer in Uptown is Freret Street. This is the place for nightlife and you'll also find some funky shops and restaurants within this area of Uptown.
Along with the shopping, dining and entertainment, Uptown offers many bountiful churches and other landmarks throughout. It's also found within walking distances of many parks and even the Audubon Zoo. Uptown is located close to both Loyola and Tulane Universities, as well.
Plenty of good private and public schools are found throughout the area for students. The public library system has been revitalized in Uptown, as well.
Of course, one of the most attractive things about the location is the Mardi Gras parades that come through Uptown every year. For weeks, it's possible for residents to enjoy some of the oldest and best New Orleans traditions. Many other annual events are held throughout the community, as well.
